Hello , i used the my USBJTAG NT long time
everything works fine.
yet i try to use it with my working modem
and no flash detectet , soldering is 100% ok.
i remove the plastic case from usbjtag
to look because the " cy7c68013a " chip
is very hot yet.
i try an old modem SB5100 i can read and write it OK
but modem in spi mode doesnt work.
i order one new usbjtag is hope it come this week.
Is my USBJTAG Brocken?

I have explained many time and people is still doing it. You are likely to kill your new NT if you do not know how to prevent it.
You need to connect USB JTAG NT to your modem with
1. Modem powered off.
2. USB is not connected to your PC.
If you have modem powered on and USB connected to PC and then connect SPI to your modem, you have very good chance to kill the NT.
This is printed in RED in user manual and nobody seems to be bother to read it.

This programmer is a wonderful tool - but very delicate.
Maybe develop any greater protection would be ideal.
After all, we users are not professionals or specialists ...

I have never burnt mine and i do Hot Plug all the time. Some targets detect better this way. I am not saying NOT TO FOLLOW USBBDM's Recomendation, I simply disagree that it WILL BURN your USBJTAG NT........ Provided its connected the CORRECT WAY that is.......... LOL
