Default Result of DCT700 Testing.

Got a DCT700 from another contory. When plug in does not show anything. After set DCT2500's NVRAM and leave the box overnight, it pickup all the local digital channel and all the firmwares are upgraded to local include VOD application. Next will try to see how can UID be channged so VOD testing can be done on DCT2500/DCT700 family.

For now, programming DCT700's flash is not working. I am working on it, most likely the chip select needs to be initialized to access the flash writing, it is another layer of protect the accedently erase the flash.

Disassemble the DCT2500/DCT700 code started smoothly. The code seems very similar to DCT2000. I believe most of the codes are just ported from DCT2000 and recompiled under vxWorks on MIPS core. I will soon start to add some features to the firmware like change UID and connect box. SPI log will be the second step.

Just finish the connect box feature. Try to add change UID. Once this is done then VOD testing or block auth command can be done. I will not add block auth command for DCT2500 unless there is a good reason to do so.

Yes, you can read the firmeare and save as binary. If you prefer other program to read the program you can do so. It is saved as binary format.
