How Can I DEBRICK 5100

I have a old TOM Jtag so i tried with that with no luck too.




Well if i cant get this to work off to the trash this didnt let me sleep last night




Well i do 1st the DETECT the D button on the app then i do ldram 9fc00000 ..... Load the 5100.bin then type program 9fc00000 200000 ...... then i get the please detect crap.

Use DETECT to detect the flash type

This tells the software is stuck at the detect flash. If you have the teamviewer and NT I might be able to help you fix this.
There is another method is the CE method. Then force to DEBUG ON and then you can program the flash.

you cannot pay for help like that!! i'v done the teamviewer thing more than once and it almost always turns into "thanks...now, can you just get my modem to work for me??"lol

Try this;

Use the usbjtag, once you get it to detect this;

detect
IDCODE 0334817F
Broadcom BCM3348
IMPCODE 800908
DMA supoorted

DONT NORMAL program!!
First erase '9fc00000 200000" then load your backup

"ldram 9fc00000" and then once it is loaded

type "sprogram 9fc00000 200000"

and let it slowly program.

I have debricked many many 5100s with the old usbjtag this way. Good luck.

I confirm this will also work for NT.
When not in DEBUG ON or TRAP ON mode, the "sprogram" uses DMA peek/poke command to program and this was all how LPT JTAG work. If you have bricked modem, then there is no good boot and you can.
1. Use those poke commands found in the front.
2. Use "sprogram" to program it.
