it looks like there are two spi flash's there , one on the bottom of the board looks just like the same chip on top of the board right under the 'A' in arris I would copy the info on the labels for future use then carefully scrape them off and check the part number then goggle for a datasheet and find out what they do then you will know.then come back and post your findings for us to learn from you.
