can anyone explain the process of making my other box work. i have a box legit from the cable co and another from the same area but non working premiums. What to do next.......

You will not be able to authorize the another box yet. Clone NVRAM or firmware will normally not give you the channels that another box has.
The clone firmware and NVRAM will make your box local so it will have local channel map. TVguide. But the real video keys are kept in XC chip which cannot be cloned.
