Re: More info on Motorola "masked" chips

Here's what I found regarding the "Masked" Motorola chip part numbers found in car radios...some of the car radios are using the various chips including the "XC" chip. The "XC" chip is not really the proper chip ID... in reality, if has a true P/N hidden underneath... this may be the reason why there is little or no info on the XC chip for years....hopefully this helps in trying to narrow down to the kind of "XC" chip that we are referring to...

I have found one model of Reciever where the xc chip was missing but inside xc pinout was a smaller chip labeled SCF80003AE

I haven't found anything on this part as of yet -- if anyone does drop me a PM please.
