hard erase sb6120

Post by Jester »

i brought a previously bricked sb6120 from ebay with the intention of using usbjtagnt to revive it. ive got my device activated it (thanks for quick reply usbbdm) taken a clean backup from my working sb6120 and flashed i get an error. maybe the dump is bad redump compare with hex editor dumps match. i tried some 8meg bins i obtained from the interwebs and i still get this compare error after flash.

my procedure is as follows: clip testclip to chip open usbjtagnt select sb6120 spi target. power on modem wait untill lights show plug free end of cable into usbjtag. hold power to ISP pin r362. lights go out detect load erase sprogram cmpram error every time. is this the correct way to wire it up?

please see my attached log:

the is in the ISP connector. Connect the USBJTAG NT to the modem, power on the modem and finally connect the ISP connector and thats it.

i fixed it. i was following a docx tutorial that came with the f/w using the provided hex addresses ALWAYS failed. how ever using the drop down menu and selecting UBFI1 / UBFI2 after flashing a full 8meg bin provided the expected out come.
