I am trying to learn further what the USBJTAG tool can do... I don't have a ECU411 , i and intrigued to know what it is , is it Bosch , Denso ecu or some sort?
also i watched a video that was posted regarding reviving a bricked ECU411 , and a bin file is being written over to it , some sort of flash file...
wouldn't that need checksum coming out and going back in ?
question regarding ecu411 ?

Re: question regarding ecu411 ?
The programmer is just a programmer. The firmware itself might need to use checksum to check the validity of the firmware before it boots from it.
Actually checksums are not universal. ECU411 has its own checksum. For example if you want to modify the serial number, then you need to modify its checksum in the firmware to make sure the serial number is valid.
