If you cannot detect the CPU then connection is still the problem. Fix the connection first before consider the watchdog.

the watchdog does not need to be dis to detect the chip make sure you match pin 1 on jtag and pin 1 on board and if you hit detect the first time and not detect fine just hit it a second time without unpluging the modem that happened to me a few times with these modemscablelink wrote:Thanks you for reply, I still can't get no detection with all 14 pins. Do the watchdog need to be dis to read chip?

As of detect the CPU flash no need to disable watchdog. When program the flash it is important to disable the watchdog.
SB5120 uses software watchdog in the firmware. If you stop the CPU before it starts the firmware. This is done to stop the firmware when CPU runs the boot code. That is why it is important to type "program" right after power on the box (mostly use script).
