SB5100 problem boot sector!

Post by nando29 »

Hello.

I have a problem with my SB5100. I try to program the boot sector and all be fine until when i type cmpram to compare the data. I have this error:

-sprogram 9fc00000 8000
Program Starts...
Program speed 15.44 KB/s
Program time 00:00:02 (.122)
Program pass, if no further programming needed, power off/on the target
-cmpram Boot
Time 00:00:00 (.140)
Compare data Failed address 9FC04000,target 00,PC memory 4D

Anyone can help me to erase this boot sector?

What commands i need to type to fix my sb5100?

Regards!

This just means your erase has some problem. This sector is not erased properly. Use erase 9fc04000 4000 and see if it does something.
Otherwise you need to check the definition of the flash.

When you plug in do you get 3 steady Lights? If so your Modem is Bricked. You may try method 2 for Debrick. I personally Use Tom's JTagUtility to fix them as it never fails and with USBJtag they can be a PITA.....

Use the stock 2mb dump and just program the Boot

To do just the boot
detect
ldram 9fc00000
(A File Open dialog will appear, find your 2MB backup file and click open)
speed2
erase 9fc00000 8000
sprogram 9fc00000 8000
cmpram 9fc00000 8000
if that does not work use a PJTAG and JTag Utilty

To do just the boot
detect
ldram 9fc00000
(A File Open dialog will appear, find your 2MB backup file and click open)
program 9fc00000 8000
cmpram 9fc00000 8000
