If you have use the latest software and latest def file, the only explanation is that you have programmed a bad firmware. If the flash is empty you should be able to get the right flash type. There is another possibility is that your board is a little different than what I have tested. If you do not mind setup VNC and yahoo messenger and I can take a look. Support this flash is not a problem.

Still having a problem with two SB4100's. First one is a 4100 revision A with a Toshiba TC58FVT160FT-85 flash chip:

-detect
IDCODE 335017F
Broadcom BCM3350
IMPCODE 8009E8
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to [email protected] 0098,00c2

Second is a 4100 with an Intel TE28F160 flash chip. The flash chip may be bad in this one?? Not sure.

-detect
IDCODE 335017F
Broadcom BCM3350
IMPCODE 8009E8
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to [email protected] ffff, ffff

Using USBJTAG version 0.13.

First one just add one line in flash.def. Add these two lines to your flash.def
0x0098,0x00c2,TC58FVT160 ,0x200000,0,31,0x10000,1,0x8000,2,0x2000,1,0x4000,
0x0098,0x0043,TC58FVB160 ,0x200000,0,1,0x4000,2,0x2000,1,0x8000,31,0x10000

Second one I need to see. Please setup VNC and use yahoo messenger.
