SB4200 Hackware

Post by GTF696 »

SB4200-1.4.8.14-SCM00-NOSH-3.B1.hex

Does anyone have a working version of hackware on their 4200? If so, would you be willing to do a 9fc00000 200000 save and send me the .bin?

No matter how I flash it, it bricks the modem, and I have to start from scratch, the only working firm I have is sigma 1.5 and want to upgrade.

Thank you!

thank you, I just got SB4200-1.4.8.14-SCM00-NOSH-3.B1 to install just now. been playing with it, and can't seem to get any of the 1.1 configs to work. Thinking my network isn't 1.1 compatible, except that my default config is d11_walledgarden.cm....

hi
as im in the uk im not sure of your docsis, but i once aquired a SB4100 from a freind which must of come from the USA because i found within the modem lots of speedtier extreme configs:-

d10_m_sb4100_speedtierextreme_c02.cm

1 d10_walledgarden.cm 68.87.72
2 d11_m_tj715_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
3 d11_m_sb5120_silver_c01.cm 68.87.77
4 d10_m_sb4100_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
5 d11_walledgarden.cm 68.87.77
6 d11_m_unknown_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
7 d10_m_sb4200_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
8 d11_m_tj715x_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
9 d10_m_pcx2500_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
10 d11_m_dcm202_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72
11 d10_m_pcx2200_speedtier_c01.cm 68.87.72
12 d11_m_sb5100_silver_c01.cm 68.87.72

as you can see there is a d11_walledgarden config.

does this confirm that a 4200 which is the same as a 4100 should work in your area?
just an idea, hope this helps you.

The Speed xtreme is one of the best configs for comcast.

However, the d11_m_na_c05.cm config has a 0/0 limitation, meaning you can go as fast as your Node will let you. d10_m_na_c05.cm does the same thing, so either one will work. Just wanted to use the 1.1 version just because I could.

After I switched from SB4200-1.4.8.14-SCM00-NOSH-3.B1 to SB4200-1.4.8.14-SCM00-NOSH-3.B2 all issues have been resolved.

I'm actually using the 4200 instead of the 5100 with 100% stability and speed.
