What do the numbers mean

What does the 6 4 1 2 mean on the bottom of the cable box. Exp. on a 2244 the second 2 means it is a 64/256 qam unit. Does anyone have the meanings for all the 6000's IE 6208 6412 6414 and what ever comes next. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
