hello all newbe here to this forum
i was wondering if some one could help out on a little project
i have a webstar dpx100 modem with a bcm3345kpb and a st tsop
it has been flashed and bricked by virginmedia to config "cm-update.bin"
it has a serial port but i am unable to get any response from it via telnet
i belive thats due to the firmware !!!
i'm sure it can be reflashed via a jtag but need some one with a little more
experiance than i have finding the points at where a jtag would be wired too
i think these modems can run on Infinite firmware or fercse
thank you in advance for any input
Richard
can some one help with a project

Do not be confused for 5 pin or 6 pins. You must make sure the pins are for JTAG first. I now have seen 10 pin JTAG (SB5100,SB5101),12 pin modem (SB5120). 8 pin modem.(DPC2100).
For JTAG to work you need TDO,TDI,CLK,TMS (TRST optional) and ground. (sometime I forgot to mention ground in my pages and people ask why it working, especially on dish receivers.)
