I personally don't know is there are JTAG points on that particular one but I'd first try to see if that serial is even enabled before proceeding with the rest.

Thanks for the reply, my friend.

I understand your position, and I know you is right.

But... if we use the best programmer in the world - and
we are seeking help on the official forum - nothing more
correct than give a fair way to do the "NT" be useful again!

If not, why to spend money on such a brilliant tool?

I'm a big advocate of "NT" - and for me he "does everything"!
Necessary we find ways!

Thank you!

Can we get a full shot of the underside of the board please?

Have you given these a try or used as a reference:?

The ambit256 link is for the SPI version of this modem. So if there are JTAG points on the bottom of this one, you'll just use the SB5101 profile to read/program.

No no, I understand what you're saying and understand the point you're making.

I was simply trying to suggest an interim alternative.

Use this as a reference to your connections, make sure you use flux and solder directly without burning your board:

You located the flash, now you just gotta solder to a ground point, you may in fact have to create an ISP point if it has watchdog.

MrRogers, that reference is for the SPI version of this modem. His is the max flash version which is totally different. [There are also intel flash versions of these revisions before they released the .80 with the SPI flash]

As far as I remember, the only way people communicated with this version via JTAG was by soldering directly to the BCM3349. Some people resorted to using a hot air gun to remove the flash, reprogram on another modem, re-lift and put back on the old modem.

.. but if someone is up for the challenge then who are we to talk shit about it?

Mr Rogers is saying this in the correct thread? Are you sure you want
to find a SPI memory on the board presented in superb picture?
Not!
It sure is fooled in topic!

Thanks, Mr. teddyalmonds, but this way is terribly complex! : )

Points JTAG, please! : )

You can Load HAXO via Serial Port. After that you can do whatever you want to the Modem.
