BDM(NT) on Motorola MC68332

Post by legacy »

hi guys
what is the support of the BDM(NT) cable for Motorola MC68332 (CPU32)?
is it possible to debug? it there a GDB-bridge?
and is the protocol (on the USB side) open and provided with documentation?

thanks

This CPU uses BDM to access the CPU resource. USB BDM NT can do basic debug like single step and inspect registers.
Most people use BDM to read/write flash which can be easily done with USB BDM NT.

yes, but is the protocol (on the USB side) documented?
if so, where can I download the documentation?

I am talking about YOUR product: you have a USB-BDM cable, right?
which applications do support it? is there documentation for this?

your USB-BDM cable should talk a protocol to transport BDM-packages

I need to know if I can buy your cable and develop something!

Oh, there is no document on USB side and I am not planning to do so. Initially I was thinking support GDB on JTAG or BDM but I stopped it quite a while ago.

My future project will be develop the BDM that support other Motorola CPU (MPCxxx).

This makes your cable not interesting for me.
Thanks for your time.
