guide shows off air

Post by justsomeguy »

anyone ever get this problem? i got a couple boxs that constantly show "off air" mostly on the porn ppv's but also sometimes on the normal movie ppv's..got other boxs right beside them that show the proper listings. ordering the stuff off the boxs that show "off air" is still fine and don't have any other problems with the box, all normal channels still show in the guide and like i said i have no problems ordering those channels. firmware is updated and everything like that...it's just an odd problem that i've always just ignored but finally it's bothering me why i can't figure out why the boxs are doing this..i have one that i programmed about 8 months to a year ago..and another that was programmed about 4 months ago..all my other boxs are fine..also another odd thing is that one box that's doing it is a 2224 and the other is 2500 so it crosses model numbers as well~

Have you tryed Loading a Backup from onother box ( same model ) That does not have that Guide Problem? That would be the first thing to try.... There are other things that cold lead to that But i won't get into that Now.

Is this with a local nvram or the next town over(close enough) nvram? I once loaded a box with an nvram from a couple towns away and most of the channels were the same but some channels showed up as VOD channels without needing to be purchased.

It was weird because you can see someone rewinding the video feed sometimes like it's off someone's dvr or the cable company's hidden test channel.
