How do i update the firmware? TIA

I have PH6/1161. Does anyone know how to update the firmware? I need to get to 7.96. Could someone please post the commands used for this?

You need to know your type. Just read the current firmware and see if the firmware starts at $500000, If it is you have type II and you need to flip the firmware each time you program it.

I got a local firmware flashed in now showing 7.96.

Is there a way to change the "mpeg method" that shows in the diag screen audio/video status or am i screwed ?
Mines showing - "mute Black"
