The topic only had to do with getting the box to update out of area and download apps. The nvram is part of that.

But then again you think you can just edit the firmware with a hex editor and make any changes you want. If I look back you even claim to be able to make a fake uid with a hex editor. Or did you go back and delete that Tundra?
If you take Info from a Box with No VOD's and put on another Box, Of Couse it will Not get VOD's Either. Its DUMB to Assume it Would. If the UID is DEAD. DUH.

And Yes You can Fake UID with Hex Editor. What you think The USBJTAG Software Does? It Edits the HEX. Yes its Not Easy to do for Most of you Becouse You have very Little Knowledge of HEX. The USBJATG Software Just makes it DUMB Proof. ;)

Then why don't you make a fake uid for another box? One that isn't supported by the usbjtagnt? If it's so simple you would do that right? It's not as simple as changing a couple bytes. The fake uid is more complicated than that. Just look at a comparison in hex of before and after.

And it has nothing to do with the UID in the nvram of the other copy. If you spent time examining the nvram you could see that there is more. The nvram has different sections that dictate what it will and will not download. And the VOD app is one of those.

Please lock the thread. Nothing productive is being accomplished here. The original intent has been accomplished.
