FIRMWARE UPGRADE

on my system cable company is doing firmware upgrade from 07.93 to 07.96 units on my system have fake uid with 07.93 firmware are still up and running but oringinal uid has reappeared now it be possible that i will have to go and put fake uid on all units that upgraded to firmware 07.96 if not units are possible to get deauthorize by cc also last channel ended with channel number 946 with 07.93 firmware now last channel ends with 945 with 07.96 firmware question why is cc ungrading to this firmware 07.96. also 7 months ago cc was bought by tw they combine 3 cable companies into one one company was using 07.96 firmware before purchase the other used 07.93 fireware before purchase they then change all to 07.93 but now i believe they changing all to 07.96 once again why is this happening?

firmware upgrades are written by motorola. with the amount of memory in the 2000 series of boxes there probably won't be many upgrades if any now.
