What making a dead box.

Post by beck09876512 »

I have in the past hade some box go dead and some not. I got two box today and both are ph 9. But on the code chip it a very small boxcode an the other box the chip is little biger @ u507 So i read both box and lock it down and rewrite the box the one with the biger code chip work but not the small box code chip on the othr box did not take and all i see on the box is - - - - . And looking back the other dead box got the small box lookingcode chip.

If you have the small code chip is this what make the box dead?

When you say smaller chip is it a BGA Sharp chip? There are exactly the same.
As far as testing, BDM is much reliable than the JTAG testing on DCt2500 and DCT700. If you have the backup, you can always get it back to its original state.

1st thing i do is backup. When i say smaller the smaller chip wire are under the chip and the other the wire are about 24 wire on the left and right side of the chip. The chip are right where you but the bdm at..
