Help Me With My Dct2000 Nph

Post by nando29 »

Hi i have a problem with my box. I try to change the Unit Address and i do this:

-reset 1
-R
-init
-getram code

then i go to "DCT Testing" and select my firmware (07.93). I fake the Unit Address but when i try to program the code. i mean

-flshdct code
AMD AM29LV800BB
-program code
Erase starts...
Erase time 00:00:00 <---- no erase the code
Program starts...
Program speed 337.69 KB/s
Program time 00:00:02
Program pass

my Unit Address never change and i dont kno why. I think that all the step is right but.. i dont know what happen. Also i removed the capacitor c105

I look up of my battery and said "GENERAL INSTRUMENT DCT2000 MAIN BOARD 240684 - 605 - 99 - RB"

If somebody know fix this problem please let me know!

First make sure you're programming the correct address. Under the "Tools" menu item, click "CONFIG". Then click the drop-down arrow next to target select. Choose the NonPH option.

Have you also verifed whether or not your firmware needs to be flipped?

It sounds like you may be having some harware (flash chip) problems. Have you had success with any other boxes besided the one in question?

Which software version is that? The flash.def might have this item wrong. Can you cut and paste this line?

The flash file is right. Nothing wrong with AM29LV800BB.

You might want to try to specify a memory address instead of just typing "program code" just to make sure:

flshdct code
program 406000 aa000

just as an example. The above range has worked for me with about 30 to 40 DCT 2000's. Although, I have also been out of the game for awhile.
