Program failure on CR4 board.

Post by drknebula »

So I'm encountering some trouble programming a CR4 board this time. I have gleaned this information:

Platform- 8
Family - B
Model - 5D
Tuner - V860DL

After a "reset 1" and "init":

RPC = 00000460
A7 = 00200400

When I try "program code" or "program code 406000 aa000", I get "Program failed at 410000." I have never encounterd this before. No idea what the hell is going on. The board looks new...not a speck of dust or dirt on it.

I notice the firmware version on this box is 7.83....

Is there perhaps additional security that needs to be circumvented?

It seems more and more situations like this are turning up...

Do I need to provide any additional information for analysis on this?

Is this somehting nobody knows how to resolve?

Thanks

It is just nobody has the same experience. You can try to see if you can erase the chip. If you have disabled the watchdog, to me like this chip is having problem at address 410000. Or the flash def is wrong so the erase command did not erase properly. If this is the case it should be quite easy to fix.

Yep capacitor is off. I do not understand what would be wrong at address 410000. I am pretty sure the flash def file is correct as I have not modified it--it's the newest file as well. Could something be different about this particular board? How would I go about determining what (if anything) is different with this board and consequentially causing the programming failure at address 410000.

will post corresponding flashdef file for this box's flash chip when I get back home.
