help SBV6220 > SB6120/6121

Post by jp149 »

Ok I'm a total noob at this however from what I read to use the sbv6220 with alpha or forceware I have to convert it to a sb6120 right ? this is what I do however I am having issues with the modem going online.

1. backup sbv6220 using sbv6220 xml
2. backup sbv6220 nonvol area save a separate file
3. erase whole flash all 16MB
4. restart modem restart usbjtagnt and select sb6120 xml
5. program/verify u-boot with noisybootloader, ubfi1/ubfi2 with alpha or forceware and nonvol from the sbv6220 area.
6. restart modem.

after that modem seems to go online however it only gets a 10.x.x.x IP address I am thinking that something is wrong with the BPI/BPI+ would this be correct in assuming this ?
