I wanted to flash the 3rd fw to my linksys, and a bit confuse. Can someone please clarify this:
as I read on the site dd-wrt, it shows that I need to flash with MINI fw first, then STANDARD fw.. hm..
As I looked the video instruction, I only need to flash one FW? Can you please help. Thanks

I am not expert but what I learn most people uses JTAG to program the CFE (boot) and then use TFTP to program the kernel (firmware dd-wrt).
What I have been doing is to use USB JTAG to program both CFE and kernel. So far the most reliable for programming WRT54G is use the "sprogram" not "program" command. I believe it is the watchdog that prevent the programming going on.
I have tested the V2 and V6 already. Will test more. The sprogram of USB JTAG will be about 4KB/s. USB JTAG NT will be about 23KB/s on WRT54G(S). That is quite fast already.
If I found the reliable way of programming the WRT54G with fast speed I will post the new def file.
