unbrick wnr2000

Post by Jester »

I have a bricked wnr2000v3. it is definably bricked it boots to orange flashing light. holding reset and trying to tftp the f/w over works IE completes but the router does not reset or flash the f/w even after 8 hours (I flashed it and went to bed). using the power of the interwebs i have located the jtap pinouts here:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/netgear/wnr2000. I have a copy of the orginal f/w but i read something about header removal? here is the first few bytes of my wnr2000v3.img do i need to remove some bytes?

Code: Select all

device:wnr2000v3.version:V1.1.2.6.region:.hd_id:29763551+04+32..................................................................2003R{..P..q.4..........K.Z.....wnr2000v3-V1.1.2.6..............sqsh................................@..P..p...............O.....

is there a pin out diagram for usbjtag so i can hook up my own cable. I have a soldering iron and i know how to use it.

I could tell you to read the forums, or the manual, but the easiest way to get pinouts is by pressing the ICON in the top bar to the left of the "?"... Not sure when the Boss added that, but it is very convenient... Cheers
I am running vers .62 on the computer I just checked
