6220 has a 16mb ram where the 6120 has a 8m ram... There is a DIFFERENT XML for a 6220...

Ram And Flash are not the same thing. And the XML is for SBV6220, There is no XML for SB6220.
Connection Wise they are the same and you can even Program a full SB6120 Backup and It will Work.
Besides, The main topic Here is the Arris 802g NOT THE SB6220.

Thats Great, But if this is your Only One I hope it does not get Screewed Becouse You Can't Make a Backup Nor can You DeBrick Via Serial.
If you do not play with u-boot you can erase and program the firmware via u-boot. A lot developer prefer use u-boot via serial port to program the device. Even though it is slow it is standard way to program the device.
