I'm trying to revive an old TM502g that I have laying around for years.
I bricked it a long time ago when I first started doing this.
(of course I don't have the original flash!)
I have another TM502g that's working fine.
I'm trying to clone this one.
With a lot of effort I was able to write the firmware to the bricked unit.
Doing a compare of the flash tells me it's all OK.
However, all I get is the one green power light.
In the working unit the flash device is MX29LV320B.
In the bricked unit it's S29GL320.
Is that my problem?
If so, what now?
Is there someplace I can download the proper firmware?
Please advise.
Thanx.

NO, That just means the flash are from different manufacturers. It should make no difference when cloning.jrockow wrote:I'm trying to revive an old TM502g that I have laying around for years.

It might be the reason. If you could find one with exact flash, try again.jrockow wrote:I'm trying to revive an old TM502g that I have laying around for years.

Update
Just in case anyone else might be following this post, apparantly the 2 different flash devices wasn't my problem.
Turns out the firmware I was using for the clone wasn't completely accurate. After redoing the firmware dump from the working modem I was able to get the second modem working.
