HAHA! I think I found an easter egg. (I need help, too.) - WRT54G-TM

OK well I was poking and prodding to find the right memory addresses for a WRT54G-TM flashed with OpenWRT firmware. Well, I came across the link below with memory addresses and I decided to try and plug them in to see if they would let me find everything on the 8MB flash chip. Well, I did that and performed a detect and got the following.

Code: Select all

Copyright (C) 2010,2011,2012
USB JTAG NT 0.62
Target: WRT54G-TM
-detect
IDCODE 0535217F
Broadcom BCM5352
IMPCODE 00800904
EJTAG V1, V2.0
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these values http://www.usbjtag.com/vbforum beef,aa55
I'm pretty sure I just got called a beef ass. ROFL!

This is the link I found the memory addresses on. (It just uses the default addresses for an 8MB chip and doesn't take any internal addressing into consideration. So, it of course starts at 0x0 and ends at 7FFFFF and is just there to describe what parts of the chip do what. I still don't know what offset is mapped to 0x0 on the chip, though and I need help with that. (Ex. A03FFFFF for accessing 0x0, but that's not the right address.)

Also, keep in mind that that link is for the "WRTU54-TM," so I don't know if that's going to help at all.

Just use WRT54G8M should work on this router. I have done JTAGing on this router before.
