I think it has SPI flash as well as NAND flash. Does it have JTAG port? It is better to use JTAG port to access flashes.

1. This one has JTAG port.
2. This one has NAND flash.
Is it MIPS core? Does it have GPL code? If above are true, then it is possible to add it with some work of development to fully support it.

usbbdm wants to know what type of processor (if its MIPS) and when he says GPL he means is there a source code published/released by the manufacturer for the device

You could rip off the heat sink to maybe get a look at the cpu or see if you can connect via serial and see what info you can get this way.

Also remember you can send the device to usbbdm and he will try to add support for you.

Based on JTAG pinout it is MIPS JTAG. Now if it has GPL code then I should be able to add support to it.
