SBV6220.xml 2011.12.27

Post by Spyrocheti »

I updated the xml to correctly reflect the elements' offsets/sizes of the 16MB flash chip.

Put it in the "config" folder with the rest of the xml.
It will NOT overwrite your existing sbv6220.
Inside the software in settings choose SBV6220NEW.

Don't forget to BACKUP!!!

Test it and leave some feedback if it worked or not for you ;)

I don't know what y o u refer to, but I am guessing you re trying to mod it with firmware meant for the sb6120 (8MB Flash). That will not work until you actually make the sbv6220 "become" sb6120...out of the top of my head try this:
assuming your modem has a 16MB dump flashed,
connect your cables/modem and fire up the software,
in settings choose this xml,
detect flash,
erase all flash, (verify?)
in settings choose sb6120
restart the software
detect flash
write your 8MB dump (verify?)
disconnect everything, power cycle the modem...look if it works, if it does
reconnect everything load up software with sb6120 settings, flash Image0/Image1 to your liking....if thats is not what you are trying....maybe explain?

ontopic: the new sbv6220 xml has the correct offset for "blank" and "nvram" as well as U-Boot, Env1, Env2 which the current one doesn't, at least thats what I think ;)

if cmpram is failing then its probably because its not making a good connection...check to see if the ISP PIN / Test Clip if they make good contact...

good luck
