USBJTAGNT Hardware not recognized

Post by d0 »

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 x64. The software loads properly but will not detect when the USBJTAGNT is plugged into the usb. It always says in the status bar 'USBJTAGNT Not Connected'. I also tried the fix in '/lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules' which didn't help the problem.

I will try to fix it on ubuntu THis is related to the permission. Can you try to use chmod to modify the usb device?

Do you use latest download? It uses libusb1.0 now and should solve a lot of issues. You should only open NT software or UJmodem. You cannot open both at the same time.

I dont use NT and UJmodem at the same time (i know they dont work together)
looks like i have libusb installed
Synaptic package manager says these are installed
libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-15ubuntu2
libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.8-2
libusb-1.0.0-dev 2:1.0.8-2
libusb-dev 2:0.1.12-15ubuntu2

I also did install those:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/ ... 2/download

usbjtag soft still same problem disconnected every ~5 seconds it shows connected for 1 sec then goes back to disconnected

any help or its just ubuntu 10.10- maybe i should go back to older version?

Download latest software. 0.45a.
Install libusb 1.0. Run only NT or UJmodem. Do not run both at the same time.
If you use 64 bit Linux, make sure the 32 bit libraries are installed.
I can provide remote help if you can use teamviewer on linux.

On 64bit you need to use 32bit Libusb, for the 32bit libusb on ubuntu x64 use:
wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 2_i386.deb
dpkg-deb -x libusb-1.0-0_1.0.8-2_i386.deb .
mv ./lib/* /lib32
