Volvo CEM S60 2002 , MC68376 die.
hello how are you, i have a volvo s60 2002, the cem is dead! the MC68376 has burned out. The flash is the intel 28F400, what do I need to buy to be able to do the job satisfactorily? I live in the Canary Islands, would it arrive without problems? If I buy a used cem, do I just have to read and copy the flash? The MC68376 should not be touched at all? thanks greetings

You need USB BDM NT.
Shipping is very bad these days.
You need to know the pinout of the CEM.

Yes, the shipments are being very bad, I bought a radiator in autodoc on July 24, and it has not arrived yet
So I only need to buy the USB BDM NT and nothing else to read and write to the flash?
I only have one problem, the car has already gone through the workshop, and the indicative label has been removed from the cem, and I don't know what model it is. But I do know you have the Intel 28F400 and the MC68376
My chip is MC68376BGMFT20 , but in the web say that USB BDM NT is for MC6833X CPU. Any problem for this ?
And finally, I need to read only the flash, or also the MC ?
only this I need?
I don't need another type of device?
Yes, the cem pins simply solder where the photo indicates and that's it, right?
Thank you very much for the information, it is my first time that I am going to try to read a memory

Yes USB BDM NT will work on MC68376 CPU.
You can read the flash. What is MC?

The MC is the MC68376BGMFT20 chip, in the workshop they have tried to resolve the cpu pins and they have made it short, so it is probably dead. In case of being dead, is it possible to read it?
In google I have read that it is only necessary to read the flash 28F400, only, and that the CPU does not have to do anything, is it correct?

There is no data in the CPU. BDM NT is using BDM protocol talk to MC68376 CPU to external flash. If the CPU is dead then you cannot read the flash.
How do you know the CPU is dead? When hook UP BDM NT, it can read the registers of the CPU if CPU is working.

The problem is that in the workshop they have solved the cpu pins and made a short in two of them, and when connecting it to the car, it started but then the cpu overheated and it did not start anymore, in theory the cpu is dead, although maybe I can still act as a bridge to read the flash, I don't know that.

If you cannot use BDM NT to read the flash, then you have to desolder the flash and read in a programmer then use BDM NT to clone to another CEM.
