Yes! You are correct! I also have the same problem. It will READ no problem!! But, after you WRITE the complete firmware and try to read again, it will give you the Flash Not Detect problem. It is definitely some bug. It will read fine, but after you write, you may never be able to read the flash again.

Can you try to use command "cfi 0" and then detect?

but I was in another older version I think that was the version 7 of ujmodem, I could change the firmware several times and done tests and have the mac and put him 5 times and operating everything worked well but now that the Mac is no longer operational and I can not read the flash to change

I have 10 times more soldiers cables thinking that the fault was mine, I measured continuity with the polymers to check the cables and everything is correct

Question for you, does the modem is in working condition or not?
This question is also for virus.b you said after programing it stopped working, what had you programmed it in?

my modem is operating 100% I can not change the mac
and I have two modems in 5102 and I detected no flash

Re: SB5102 can read no problems

Basically, very easy... just do a full firmware backup, 100% no problem. And then RESTORE the firmware again. Right after you restore the FW, then you can never read the flash again. I think there is a bug when it writes to the location.

Strange, I will take a look when I have time.
There is a pin to enable SPI read and once that is done the NT should be able to read and write the flash. Unless it is protected the detect flash should not be the problem. But anyway I got enough attention to take serious look.

You can see I programmed and I think unplug USB and power off/on. The flahdct still works fine. So I do not see any problem in here.

If you take a closer look, your program also shows "Unknown Flash type" towards the bottom....
